Shelves
1. Floating Shelves
These are the ones with no visible supports or brackets. They look sleek because they’re mounted directly to the wall with hidden brackets, so it feels like the shelf is just floating.
2. Bracket Shelves
This is the classic setup: A shelf resting on L-shaped or decorative brackets, which are attached to the wall. The brackets are visible, but you get a ton of choice in materials, finishes, and styles. Bracket shelves can hold a decent amount of weight depending on bracket strength.
3. Corner Shelves
Designed to fit snugly into corners, these make good use of otherwise wasted space. They can be floating or use small corner brackets.
4. Adjustable/Track Shelving (Wall Standards)
Here, metal tracks are mounted on the wall, and you can adjust the height of the shelves as you like. Super practical for garages, pantries, closets — basically anywhere you might need to change things up.
5. Floating Box or Cube Shelves
A twist on the floating shelf, these are three-dimensional cubes or boxes you attach to the wall. You can stack or scatter them for a modern, modular look.
6. Hanging Shelves
Think shelves suspended by ropes, leather straps, or wires from the ceiling or wall. They add some personality and a laid-back vibe, though they’re usually best for lighter items.
7. Picture Ledge Shelves
These are narrow shelves with a lip, designed to display photos, artwork, or other thin items. Easy to install and great for quick swaps.
8. Pull-Out or Sliding Shelves
Usually found in cabinets, these shelves slide in and out for easy access, great for kitchens or closets.
9. Garage Shelves
Heavy-duty shelving, workbench storage.
10. Open Shelving
Popular style known as a modern or farmhouse. Used in kitchen, dining rooms, or your creative vision.
11. Cantilever Shelving
Shelves project outward from a support, good for displaying items.
12. Freestanding Shelving Units
Not technically installed, but worth mentioning: bookcases, metal rack units, and cube organizers that stand on the floor. No wall-mounting required, so you get flexibility to move them. Or, furniture anchors could be used to secure or childproof to walls.

1. Laundry Room Cabinets
Emphasize utility, with room for detergents and cleaning supplies.
2. Corner Cabinets
